Elven boat to Valinor

These are the final drawings of the elven boats that cross the sea to Valinor. I have not started with a 3D model for this design. The whole image (swan head) is entirely made in 2D what makes the design process a real challenge as the different views has to match which each other. The final illustrations were used a reference to build the model of the swan head for the final set.
Also, I have added a few sketches from the exploration phase and a preliminary final drawing showing a bigger ship design.

I had the pleasure to work for almost 2 years in the art department of 'The Rings of Power' with production designer Ramsey Avery. Five months of that time was onsite with an amazing art team in Auckland, New Zealand.
