Kamar-Taj sanctuary

These two images are the latest concepts I made for the sanctuary in the Kamar-Taj, in Kathmandu. Most of the architectural details, the outer walls and latticework are by nepalese ancient architecture. Althought, it was important to set this place in the modern world, so I decided to create a space with an unusual lighting setup. A big opening in the ceiling creates a modern space. I also added some hanging lights in the side corridor inspired by architect Frank Lloyd Wright.
