Lindon Architecture - Gazebo

This is one of the architectural designs used in the Lindon sets for 'The Rings of Power'. It is a pointed arch decorated with intricate tracery supported by carved columns. In the designs I made for Lindon I always try to find a balance between the organic randomness of nature and a manufactured look, so the architecture blends with the forest in a very subtle way.
This illustration is the cover for the September-October release of Perspective, the Art Directors Guild magazine.
It was a pleasure to work with set designer Shari Ratliff on the development of this asset.

I had the pleasure to work for almost 2 years in the art department of 'The Rings of Power' with production designer Ramsey Avery. Five months of that time was onsite with an amazing art team in Auckland, New Zealand.
