Eregion - Celebrimbor forge

These are some images from the design process of Celebrimbor forge. In the preliminary versions the space was divided in two areas: The workshop and the main forge. The location was different and the design was more connected to nature.
The final design is more architectural and it was reduced in size. The space is located in Eregion and connected with Celebrimbor tower. The challenge in this set was the design of the forge. A huge volume is in the centre of the space. It is a big chimney, built in stone and finely carved by elves.

I had the pleasure to work for almost 2 years in the art department of 'The Rings of Power' with production designer Ramsey Avery. Five months of that time was onsite with an amazing art team in Auckland, New Zealand.
